arriving here was nice. the view is great too. there's lots of helicopters landing here and the water is very sparkly. however when i was waiting for the ferry back home, it was delayed by almost an hour. the lines and piers are pretty busy though so i understand.
Taking the ferry to and from pier 11 to Roosevelt island has quickly become one of my favorite activities. There are few things that continue to excite me as a New Yorker because I’m accustomed to all that there is here - but the ferry is not one of them. Each sunset I watch on the ferry is magical. The ferry also has a bar and coffee.

Excellent way to get views of Manhattan and so cheap, just avoid commuter times
Pier 11 is where it’s easy to find a parking spot on a Sunday. That’s where you can catch a ferry from to go on the other side. It also has an amazing food place called Industry Kitchen which has ample of space to sit and dine outdoors also they cute little transport houses to sit in and dine while maintaining social distance.
The pier itself is in good repair, but no booze is sold anywhere here, which demands the loss of at least one star in this review. I mean, shyi’, I want to world to be a-swaying before I even get onto the boat!
